"The puppet"

 

A woman longing for a child to the point of desperately swaying her empty arms
receives a puppet from a caring man wishing for her happiness.

Skillful manipulators, they bring it to life in a way that echoes the movements of a wire puppet,
entertaining it as some sort of a mechanical doll or as a dancing star hoping to rejoin the firmament.
When the play stops and the magic of the moment disappears, the only remains are that of a lifeless marionette.
